Uplift 2007 June 30th - July 5th What a Week! On Saturday the 30th, 35 campers and sponsers set off for Harding Universities' anual Uplift camp in Searcy, AR. But as is customary on our trips, our bus had problems. The Good Lord would still deliver us, by sending two of the churches' congregations our way. One of them had their own bus, loaded up our kids, and finishes the days journey. During the week we strove to 'GO DEEP', deeper in our faith, trust, attitude, and love with our creator and savior Jesus Christ. Through a series of changing batteries, charging batteries and changing batteries again we made it all the way back home safely and ready to 'Change The World' right after we catch a nap. Thank You Father for changing our lives and teaching us many lessons this week. May we share the love you've shown with those in need. Amen

Canoe Trip Ouiska Chitto River August 18th
31 people got up early Saturday and went canoeing down the mighty Ouiska Chitto. Well maybe not mighty, more like crawling, but everybody had a blast. Jessica and I fliped over 4 times and we were quite amusing to watch i'm sure. Half the fun of the day was the bus ride down to the river. They took us down a tight, narrow, muddy trail out in the woods with a hugh old school bus. I think we bounced between a couple of trees. Can't wait to try that again. Love Ya'll, Jake

Service Project
We helped clean up a prayer garden that was destroyed by Hurricane Rita, Saturday August 25. We had a picinic and went swimmimg in the river later in the afternoon. We will be going back soon to finish the job and use the facilities when we please.
After we left the owner went down to see the work we had done, called and thanked us so much, because he really loved the outcome. He even offered those who came a free canoe trip down the river when ever we wanted. P.S. - Dont forget the impact a little hard work can have on this world. - Jake
